Kadans Science Partner has signed a contract with BAM Bouw en Techniek for the design and construction of The Bridge, a 21,000 sq m laboratory and office building at Utrecht Science Park.

The five-storey scheme transforms the concrete shell of Utrecht University's former Earth Sciences building and will house specialist laboratories, offices, meeting rooms and a central atrium with a roof garden.

Utrecht University will occupy the entire building for the first eight years, after which it will be repositioned for start-ups and scale-ups in the sustainability sector.

Orthomol products (source: orthomol.com)

Logicor has signed a lease with nutritional supplements manufacturer Orthomol for approximately 9,700 sq m at its new development in Langenfeld, comprising around 8,500 sq m of warehouse space, 1,200 sq m of mezzanine and 600 sq m of office and welfare facilities.

Orthomol is due to take occupation on 1 June 2026 and this letting brings the building to approximately 50 per cent pre-let.

The 21,000 sq m gross floor area scheme replaces an outdated building on a 35,000 sq m site.

JLL brokered the transaction.
