Federated Hermes has appointed CBRE to sell a 50 per cent stake in Milton Park, a 122-hectare freehold science park near Didcot, the first time it has been openly marketed since 1984.

The stake, believed to be the BT Pension Scheme's, represents about £400 million of the park's £800 million total enterprise value, as estimated by CBRE.

CPP Investments owns the other half, which it bought from Hermes for about £200 million in 2017.

The park has about 269,000 sq m in 87 buildings, including 59,000 sq m of laboratories, and about 280 occupiers.

In October 2025, Barings, with HSBC UK, provided a five-year £376 million loan.

Roche held a groundbreaking ceremony for Building 51, a production facility for synthetic molecules at its Basel headquarters.

The company is investing around CHF 790 million in the Synthetic Molecules Facility, which comprises Building 51 and the modernisation of the adjoining Building 50.

Designed by Luca Selva Architects, the 40 metre building will have seven storeys above ground and a gross floor area of 6,700 sq m.

It is built on the site of the demolished Building 66 and is due for completion in 2030.
