Boston Scientific's โฌ75 million R&D expansion in Galway

Boston Scientific has announced a โฌ75 million investment to expand research and development capabilities at its Galway operation, supported by IDA Ireland, the Irish foreign direct investment agency.
It will finance the construction of new laboratory space for the design, development and testing of medical technologies in cardiovascular care.
Boston Scientific employs more than 7,000 people across three Irish bases in Galway, Clonmel and Cork, and manufactures more than 30 million devices in Ireland each year.
Aviva completes 56,000 sq ft laboratory building at Chesterford Research Park

Aviva Investors has completed the Sidney Sussex Building at Chesterford Research Park in Essex, delivering more than 56,000 sq ft of multi-let laboratory and R&D space across three floors.
The three-storey building provides ten fully fitted suites ranging from around 2,200 sq ft to just over 8,300 sq ft, each combining wet laboratory space with open-plan office areas and dedicated same-level plant, with suites capable of being combined to accommodate larger requirements.
Completion of the Sidney Sussex Building increases Chesterford Research Parkโs capacity to approximately 385,000 sq ft of net internal space.
The building was constructed by Glencar Construction and designed by BCR Infinity Architects.

Bayerische Hausbau acquires FLOW campus in Hamburg

In Q1 2026, Bayerische Hausbau Real Estate acquired FLOW, a campus project in Hamburg's Alsterdorf district, from a joint venture between its sister company Bayerische Hausbau Development and Matrix Beteiligungsgesellschaft.
The intra-group transaction within the Schรถrghuber Group involves a scheme of around 26,000 sq m of lettable space, more than 80 per cent let on lease terms exceeding ten years.
The anchor tenant is medical technology and diagnostics group Sysmex, which has signed a lease for its EMEA headquarters until at least 2040, with an extension option to 2055.
